Active Leisure Scheme

A range of affordable activities for older people delivered in partnership with Better and a number of community deliverers. Activities on offer include: cycling, walking sports , strength training, yoga, dance and more.

Falls Prevention

Courses for people at risk of falling and have been referred from Stay Steady physiotherapy clinics.

Story Trails

Joining up health and arts so children and their families can be active through exploring a curated series of stop points along a dedicated ‘Story Trail’. The trails are designed to encourage playfulness, fun and interaction with the outdoor space. Move More has partnered with Cardiff Council’s Child Friendly City team to expand the number of Story trails across green spaces in the city. To find out the locations of the trails click here.

Research focus

Supporting CAWR on leading physical activity interventions, including:

  • a peer-volunteer led active ageing programme to prevent decline in physical function in older people at risk of mobility disability. Organisations and older people interested in getting involved can e-mail Dr Zsofia Szekeres and find out more via www.activeageingresearch.org/about-ace.
